Blackjack is a game that reminds me of a rollercoaster. It’s a game that starts out slowly, but gradually picks up speed. As you grow your bank roll, you feel as though you are making moves to the top of the coaster and then when you least expect it, the bottom drops.
Blackjack is so remarkably like a wild ride the similarities are eerie. As is the case with the popular amusement ride, your blackjack game will peak and things will seemingly be going well for awhile before it bottoms out again. You most certainly have to be a blackjack player who is able to adjust well to the ups … downs of the game simply because the game of black jack is choked full of them.
If you like the mini coaster, a coaster that doesn’t go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way that you can enjoy the coaster ride is with a fatter bet, then jump on for the coaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The big spender will love the view from the monster wild ride because he/she is not thinking about the drop as they rush quickly to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few players adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it’s going up, that is terrific, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster begins to flip and turn, you had better get out in a hurry.
If you do not, you will not naturally remember how much you enjoyed everything while your profit was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a cool ride and your head in the air. As you are recounting "what ifs", you won’t recount how "high up" you went but you will clearly recount that catastrophic drop as clear as day.
