Blackjack is a game that reminds me somewhat of a wild ride. It is a game that begins slowly, but gradually picks up speed. As you slowly build up your profit, you feel like you are getting up to the top of the coaster and then when you don’t expect it, the bottom collapses.

Blackjack is so very similar to a roller coaster the similarities are astonishing. As is the case with the popular fair ground ride, your blackjack game will peak and things will seem as though they are going well for a time before it bottoms out yet again. You definitely have to be a gambler that can readjust to the ups … downs of the game simply because the game of black jack is full of them.

If you like the little coaster, a coaster that does not go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way that you can enjoy the rollercoaster ride is with a much bigger wager, then hop on for the coaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The big spender will love the view from the monster crazy ride because he or she is not mentally processing the drop as they rush headlong to the top of the game.

A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few players adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that is terrific, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster begins to twist and turn, you had better escape in a hurry.

If you do not, you will not naturally remember how much you enjoyed the good life while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a nice ride … your head in the clouds. As you are recalling "what ifs", you won’t clearly recall how "high up" you went but you will naturally remember that catastrophic fall as clear as day.
